Beach Park

Beach Park, located just two blocks west of the Hill and the University of Colorado main campus, is a small park in the middle of a large residential area that offers a nice alternative to the larger, busier Chautauqua Park play areas. Exactly once block in size, Beach Park may only boast a small play structure, covered area, and a few picnic tables, but easy, free parking and plenty of open grassy space makes it the perfect spot for picnics, ball games, tag, and more.

Flagstaff Mountain

Flanking the mighty Rocky Mountains, this meandering mountain road is frequented by drivers, bicyclists and ambitious inline skaters. Offering sweeping vistas of Denver, magnificent mountains and the charming cityscape of Boulder, Flagstaff Mountain hosts a range of activities like picnicking, mountain biking, scenic trails and more. A natural marvel par excellence, this site also shelters an assemblage of delightful plant and animal life. The Flagstaff House, one of Boulder's romantic dining destinations, is also situated along this scenic road. A stirring nexus of nature, recreation and wildlife, the Flagstaff Mountain is, indefinitely, one of the crown jewels of Colorado.
