Fort Hall

Fort Hall is a historic monument that was built in 1834 by Nathaniel Jarvis Wyeth. The purpose of this building was to be used as a fur trading post by the Snake River. Due to competition from the then Hudson's Bay Company, Wyeth sold the Fort Hall to them in 1837, and by 1846, it was included in the United States territory and used as an emigrant station. In 1961, it was designated as a National Historic Landmark and is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
