Irving Park
Overlooking Gull Lake and bordering the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, the W.K. Kellogg Manor House is a venerable piece of architecture which was originally built in 1925-1926 and restored in the year 2000. Today it boasts beautiful gardens, intriguing rooms with antique furniture, decor and tiles, and lovely views. The manor is used today for several private events, especially conferences and weddings. Tours are also provided for those interested in history and architecture. Aside from the main structure, you can also check out the various other outer buildings which include a caretaker's cottage, a greenhouse, a carriage house, a pagoda, a boathouse, and an original Holland windmill.

Monument Park, located on Division Street, was established in 1917 in honor of C.W. Post, one of the most prominent citizens of Battle Creek. In 1997, a monument dedicated to Sojourner Truth, designed by Tina Allen was unveiled in the park. Depicting Truth at one of her speeches, this statue serves as a constant reminder of the great lady's achievements. Admission in the park is free of charge.
Covering over 72 beautiful and landscaped acres (29.14 hectares), Leila Arboretum is located on Michigan Avenue of Battle Creek, MI. The arboretum incorporates great many attractions like a museum, flower and vegetable gardens, a peace labyrinth and Children's Garden. Named after Leila Post Montgomery, who donated the land to the city, Leila Arboretum hosts several cultural events, educational programs and such that facilitate the best outdoor learning and activities that benefit the youngest members of the community. There are trails, there are horticulture workshops, walking and racing tracks - all in all, this is a place where your little ones can learn while have fun outdoors. Although there are no admission charges, rentals and the programs featured here often require fees.

Willard Park
The Willard Beach is a wonderful beach where families and friends can appreciate the beauty of the majestic Goguac Lake while basking in golden sunlight. The beach has an admission price and it is open for vehicles only during summers. The shoreline is endowed with white, soft sand while the green waters of the lake make a postcard perfect setting. Play a friendly game of volleyball or help kids with their sand castles, families have plenty to explore at the Willard Beach. The lake is open for swimming but at your own risk. There is a park adjoining the beach which is perfect for picnics, bike trails and barbecue parties.
