Kimball House Museum

Although it cannot be termed a mansion, Kimball House Museum is a beautiful and lavish example of Queen Anne architecture which shows off the resplendence of the upper-middle class. The central tower is surrounded on both sides by turrets. The windows of the house are made from stained glass and there is beautiful walnut woodwork in different parts of the house. This 14-room house, built in 1886 was home to Dr. Arthur Kimball, the first of three generations of doctors who blessed the local community. The house was turned into a museum when, after the death of the third Dr. Kimball, the family donated the house to community. Today, the museum contains several intriguing exhibits.

Kalamazoo River and its North Branch flow into Morrow Lake, in Galesburg. The lake stretches between Galesburg and Comstock Charter Township, and is surrounded by attractions such as River Oaks County Park and River Villa & Jan Schau Wildflower Walk, to name a few. As such, Morrow Lake offers many pretty panoramas that are often enjoyed by tourists as well as locals.

Kellogg House Park

The Kellogg House, located on One Monroe Street is the residence of W. K. Kellogg. Although this house is not open to the public, it is surrounded by a lush green park which is open to all. Take a stroll through the perfectly groomed grounds, haphazardly rioting flower beds full of spring colors and tall, beautiful trees. People often come to this spot to take pictures. The house is also close to the Underground Railroad Memorial which is worth taking a look at.

Dr. John Harvey Kellogg Discovery Center

Dr. John Harvey Kellogg Discovery Center is a part of the Historic Adventist Village in Battle Creek, MI. While the village recreates life in the 19th-century, using many restored homes, buildings and such, the Discovery Center focuses on the medical practices of the era. There are several artifacts and displays that describe various techniques that were used by doctors and surgeons till about a hundred years ago. They also have sections where practices used at the Battle Creek Sanitarium are highlighted. Open all week, between April and October, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg Discovery Center makes for a very interesting visit. Admission through donation only.

Historic Bridge Park

The setting of the Historic Bridge Park is idyllic; it has the peacefully flowing North Branch Kalamazoo River on one side while the Dickinson Creek is its other neighbor. This is a perfect place to bring a picnic and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones under the bright Battle Creek sun. Historic Bridge Park gets its name from the many archaic bridges that call it their new home. Many abandoned bridges are preserved at this park and their history adds immeasurably to the park's character. These are more like exhibits for the fancy of visitors and pedestrian usage of these bridges is also permitted.
