National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame at the The College Basketball Experience is a focal point of the basketball museum. Occupying a major section of the facility, the hall of fame was born out of the efforts of the National Association of Basketball Coaches in the year 2006. Through the hall of fame, the NABC pays a tribute to noted basketball coaches, about 180 players and other men who have significantly contributed to the legendary college game. The first basketball class at the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame was curated by known names of the game like John Wooden, Dean Smith and Bill Russel, among others.
