Declared a National Historic Site in 1986, this collection of 14 buildings is the legacy of Elbert Hubbard, the visionary writer and printer who more than 100 years ago founded a utopian arts and crafts community based on the principles of the medieval guilds. Located in the Village of East Aurora about 30 minutes south of downtown Buffalo, the campus includes such buildings as the recently renovated Roycroft Inn, and the Roycroft Shops. Guided tours of the campus are available July-September daily by appointment; the fees go towards building restorations.
It is a lighthouse located at the entrance of Buffalo Harbor, New York. The main feature is its bottle-shaped beacons. It is one of two such lighthouses, the other one being the South Buffalo Side Light. It is 29 feet (eight meters) tall and is made of boiler plate. It has four cast iron port windows and a circular iron door. It was built in the year 1903 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the year 1983.
The Tishman building is located at Lafayette Square Buffalo, New York. This high rise building is also known as 10 Lafayette Square. This 20 story tall building was constructed in the year 1959 C.E and is the thirteenth tallest building in Buffalo. It was added to the National Registrar of Historic Places in they year 2012 C.E.
The Berkeley Apartments was built in 1897 and is popularly known as the Graystone Hotel. Architect Carlton T. Strong and engineer Ernest L. Ransome together conceptualized and constructed this structure. And, this building was one of the foremost sites to use reinforced concrete. Included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, it is currently awaiting reconstruction.
