Rainbow Falls

The Rainbow Falls is located inside the Watkins Glen State Park in New York where manmade features seamlessly blend in with the natural environment. This waterfall is just one of the many waterfalls located in the park. As you approach Rainbow Falls, you'll be captivated by the sight of water flowing down a series of picturesque rock ledges. The fall gradually erodes the neighboring cliffs, lengthening the gorge and thus carving out bigger pools. The erosion of a soft layer of shale rock under a tough layer of sandstone enables visitors to walk behind the Cavern Cascade and the Rainbow Falls.
