By the Lake Ontario and located in one of the most populous states, Rochester is a city where rich culture is infused with modernity. A skyline bedecked with landmarks like The Metropolitan, Times Square Building and Xerox Tower, this city has so much to explore for everyone. Developed with a great infrastructure, it is home to some of the biggest companies in the world like Gannett, Western Union and Bausch & Lomb. However, nature and culture is well preserved as Rochester houses some of the best museums and parks in New York. A visit to George Eastman Museum, Seneca Park Zoo and High Falls are some of the best things to do while in the city. World renowned public art and culture festivals like Xerox International Jazz Festival and Rochester International Film Festival are held in the city.

Times Square Building

Times Square Building in Rochester is a landmark that reminisces a vast history attached to it. Formerly known as The Genesee Valley Trust Building, this art deco tower resembles the famous Empire State Building of New York. The foundation of the bank building was, interestingly and ironically, laid a day before the day of stock market crash of 1929 which lead to the Great Depression. Architect Ralph Thomas Walker was inspired by sea shells and incorporated a wing like structure on the top of the building. Known as "Wings of Progress", they are four aluminium wings protruding out of the roof of the tower.

Rochester Savings Bank

The Rochester Savings Bank building is a historic structure which was established in 1927. Built with a mix of architectural styles, it is mostly evident of the Byzantine Revival and the Late 19th and 20th Century Revival styles. The building is no longer used as a bank, but plans to start a college/institute are under they way. However, the beauty and the charisma of the structure is simply superb and it remains to be an attraction.

High Falls

This large waterfall is a part of the Genesee River and can be viewed from the Pont De Rennes Bridge. During the day, the scenic locale and green landscape make for a panoramic view and the evening adds a romantic atmosphere, further enhancing its beauty. This is truly an oasis in the industrial and buzzing city of Rochester.
