The Billiou–Stillwell–Perine House is one of the oldest establishments in Staten Island which believed to have been in 1662 by a Dutch immigrant Pierre Billiou. Later in 1680, the house was extended by Thomas Stillwell. In the present day, the building is owned by Historic Richmondtown where prior appointment has to be taken if you want to visit the house. Schools usually hold their field trips at this site to educate young children about the significance of the house.
The Verrazano–Narrows Bridge is a spectacular structure over the Narrows River that connects Staten Island to Brooklyn, the distance between the two being 4,260 feet (1,298 meters). Giovanni da Verrazzano reached the New York harbor in 1524 C.E. and the Bridge is named after him.
