Devon Energy Production Company, L.P. is a subsidiary of Devon Energy Corporation, which is one of the world s leading independent natural gas and oil exploration/production companies. The parent firm s operations focus onshore in the United States and Canada. It also owns natural gas pipelines and treatment facilities in production areas, making it one of North America s largest processors of natural gas liquids. The company s production mix is about two-thirds natural gas and one-third oil and natural gas liquids, such as propane, butane and ethane. It produces over 2.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas each day, about 3 percent of all the gas consumed in North America. The firm is a Fortune 500 company and is included in the S&P 500 Index.
