Spirit Falls is a small waterfall that is tucked away within the Umpqua National Forest. Cascading gracefully over a leafy cliff, the waterfall looks like it was placed here out of an enchanted fairy tale. Dropping from a height of 60 feet (18.28 meters), the waterfall collects in a small pool that is home to colorful creatures such as salamanders and frogs. Follow the picturesque Spirit Falls Trail to reach the site of the waterfall. Explore its lovely foliage-draped environs and experience nature's tranquil bliss.
You will not find much more than an endless sky and huge field here, and thank goodness! This open space provides the perfect environment to let loose with seven acres of grassy knolls awaiting plans for development. This primitive park overlooks the towering trees of its Westside neighborhood. The lot is ideal for kite flying and you will find many taking advantage of just that. Dickinson Park is located just off Interstate Highway five, about 10 minutes south of downtown.
