Dixon Lake
Located in northern San Diego County, this man-made reservoir offers picnic tables, camping facilities and boat rentals. The lake is a popular spot to fish for bass, catfish and trout. Fishing fees range from USD3-5. With four piers located around the lake, many opt for shore fishing. The boating at this lake is restricted to boats rented on the premises; rowboats or motorboats. In addition, the lake has bait, tackle and ice for sale. No swimming and no pets are permitted.

Visit the San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park and learn about the struggles for land ownership that took place in this region. On this site in 1846, a contingent of American forces battled a group of Spanish-Mexican residents of California. Now preserved as a state park, the area offers a vivid glimpse of its past. A visitor center located onsite documents the battle and features exhibits and displays pertaining to the history of the region.
