Thomas Square

All kinds of events, large and small, are held at this small downtown park. While certainly not the largest of Hawaii's parks, it is the oldest of Honolulu's community parks, and has long been the site of community gatherings and festivities. Events such as the Pacific Handcrafters Annual Christmas Craft Fair and the Intertribal Pow Wow are held here annually. The park is across from the Honolulu Academy of Art in the heart of the city.

Puu O Kaimuki Mini Park

A quite community park located just off Lunalilo Freeway, the Pu'u o Kaimuki Mini Park offers an ideal downtime spot to the locals of Kaimuki. Well-maintained by local initiative, the often secluded park offers spectacular views of the bay. Be sure to bring your mats as there are no benches here. Perfect for picnics or simply laying on the grass, reading your favorite novel, this mini park is perfect for a fun day out, with or without company.
