The optimists Park located on South Front Street features 3 baseball diamonds used for youth baseball leagues.

Olsen park has a number of recreational facilities for everyone. Play a game of softball or baseball on one of their five fields. Enjoy a picnic in the park in its picnic shelters.

A scenic park with a riverside walk where one can enjoy the beautiful views of the Cape Fear River on the horizon. On the borders of the busy town there are a variety of shops and restaurants along with a historic federal courthouse. There are plenty of seating places, a fountain, restrooms, and well-decorated landscape areas full of well organised shrubs and pedestal plants along the borders. A small garden in between the park features seasonal blooms and small evergreen trees.
