Walkway State Historic Park

Formerly known as the Poughkeepsie Bridge, it is now transformed into the Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park. The pedestrian walkway bridge is most celebrated for the fact that it is the longest footbridge across the globe. The bridge was included in the National Register of Historic Places.

Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site

The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site is an integral part of the life of former President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was born here, spent his life at this place and is buried here too. At this site, you can explore FDR's house, the Presidential Library and Museum, and a lovely garden.

The Hyde Park Recreation Department provides recreational and leisure activities. The department s facilities include a swimming pool, pavilion, hiking trails, camp sites and sports fields. In addition, it includes a playground, golf course, state park, fishing and nature trails, and tennis and basketball courts. The department also includes an activity club that offers exercise classes for seniors. It operates a teen center that offers recreational activities for students in grades six through eight. Located in Hyde Park, N.Y., the department hosts a variety of events, parties and programs for individuals. The Hyde Park Recreation Department offers sports activities and organizes leagues that include soccer, softball, lacrosse and football. The department is owned and operated by the town of Hyde Park.
