You will not see wolves in this park, but you will see many interesting things in a beautiful Bay setting. Both large ships and pleasure boats enter and leave the Port of Galveston through this island basin, and you can watch it all from a three-story pavilion in the park. Beyond the beauty of the sea, the main attractions are the displays of military vessels. Take a peek at the World War II submarine, Cavalla, or the destroyer, USS Stewart, among others. A gigantic chess game, a huge compass and a quintessentially British phone booth, together add to Saengerfest Park's charm. Lined with benches, the place is perfect for spending sometime in solitude. The park also has a stage area where musical performances are held. Saengerfest Park is also used for screening movies.
