Earlier known as Cullen-Barker Park, George Bush Park is a 7,800 acres (3156.55 hectare) county park. Established in the 1940s, it is managed by Steve Radack, the Commissioner of Harris County 'Precinct Three'. The park houses playgrounds, soccer fields, shooting range, ponds, model aircraft flying fields and jogging trails. The park has a large wooden bridge known as the Boardwalk. It has managed to bag many awards and accomplishments since its origin.
Millie Bush Dog Park is part of the George Bush Park and is extremely popular with the local dog owners. The park is well-maintained and features two big grassy areas for large and small dogs as well as three pools for a refreshing after-play cool off.
