In the city of Fort Worth, a few attractions punctuated with African culture still continue to exist—Knights of Pythias Hall is one of them. Originally constructed in 1881, had to be rebuilt after a fire destroyed it. The red brick structure with Dutch influence over the architecture, makes you nostalgic. Earlier it was a lodge, then it housed retail outlets and businesses. Being the first building to find its way in the National Register of Historic Places, the historical importance is evident. The hall sitting in modernized Hillside neighborhood, ties the past to the future.
