Indian Springs Park is found in Waco's downtown region on the west end of the scenic Brazos river. The ancient Waco Suspension viaduct is found inside the park. Various events and festivals are hosted in the scenic park.
The Parks and Recreation Department, operated by the government of the City of Waco in Texas, hosts community events and conducts programs and activities. The department provides indoor and outdoor facilities on a rental basis. The Parks and Recreation Department offers opportunities for various sports activities, such as baseball, softball, basketball, softball and soccer. It is responsible for the maintenance, improvement and construction of the city s parks and recreational facilities. The department maintains a golf course, swimming pool, water park and tennis courts. It offers lifeguard training and swimming classes. The Parks and Recreation Department organizes summer camps and administers fitness programs.
