We called the company asking for an estimate to move our three-bedroom, 1,300-square-foot house locally, and to get an idea about how they treat potential customers.

During our call, we were connected with Stephanie, a moving consultant with the company, who was friendly, helpful and an absolute blast to talk to. Before discussing price, you'll need to provide a full inventory of the belongings you need moved, which we did over the phone. We were given an overall estimate of $1,710 for our move. This price includes the hourly rate for three movers ($185 per hour), a 26-foot truck, travel fee ($225) and the fuel charge (10% of the hourly rate). If a four-mover crew is required, you'll pay $225 per hour.

The movers will disassemble and reassemble your furniture at no extra cost. However, there is an extra charge to wrap your furniture and box up any fragile items. You'll also pay a little extra to move any heavy or specialty items, like pianos, safes, large TVs and exercise equipment.
