I am a full-blooded Alaskan of Indigenous descent from the village of Egegik—a proud descendant of the Tarupiat, the people. Raised living off the land, I now share our traditions of warmth and storytelling with travelers from around the world. My co-host is a talented Filipino musician who has performed live in Alaska and the Philippines. Together, we create spaces filled with intention, culture, and genuine care. Unit 1 is a cozy upstairs retreat with a private workspace and free parking—perfect for solo travelers, couples, medical heroes, aviation lovers, or remote workers. Unit 2 is a spacious home with covered parking and easy access—ideal for early flights or peaceful getaways. Michelle’s career began in a family-owned property management business, where she learned the importance of integrity, accountability, and client-focused service. Over her 30+ year career, she has managed thousands of residential units, working with individual owners, investors, banks, and government organizations. Michelle specializes in residential property management, military privatized housing, affordable housing (LIHTC & Section 8), and HOA management, with experience overseeing portfolios of up to 3,500 units. Her hands-on leadership and depth of experience have earned her a reputation as one of Alaska’s most trusted property managers. Michelle’s daughter, Shayla, grew up immersed in the real estate industry, watching her grandparents and parents build successful careers. Licensed since 2013, Shayla has continued the family tradition of excellence. She managed 125 units as an Associate Broker and Property Manager in Colorado Springs before returning to Alaska in 2023. As a born-and-raised Alaskan, wife, and new mother, Shayla brings both professional expertise and a personal understanding of local families and property owners. Together, Michelle and Shayla form a mother-daughter team at Alaska Property Managers LLC, blending generational knowledge with modern innovation to protect investments, support tenants, and strengthen Alaska’s communities.
