SOCIAL Costa Mesa is all about culinary inventions: be it in craft cocktails or seasonal American dishes. The focus is on sourcing unusual ingredients from various Californian regions and then crafting them into both classic Southern American dishes and novel recipes. The bitters, syrups and cordials are made in-house and the mixologists don’t hesitate in trying out new blending techniques. Even their happy hour is called Social Hour, though it offers discounts just like the traditional version. Every dish is well plated, right from New Zealand Snapper Crudo and Iberico Jamon de Bellota to Spanish Octopus and Wood Fried Oysters. Do not miss the cinnamon and gin-infused cocktail called Apple of My Pie.
Terrace by Mix Mix focuses on market-driven small plates. The Cuisine showcases chef Ross Pangilinan's eclectic style, which is influenced by French, Italian, and modern Filipino flavors, as well as his refined technique. An approachable wine list will have varietals by the glass and bottle as well as rotating craft beers. True to its name, the restaurant will showcase full-service dining in a beautifully designed covered Terrace off the west end of The Bridge of Gardens. A small wine bar, additional seating, an open kitchen and a counter offering a weekday lunch quick-service menu will be inside.
We want to show you what BBQ means to us & that authentic Southern BBQ isn't just for the South! * REAL BBQ means indirect heat cooking instead of simply grilling. * BBQ means REAL flavor, derived from a special blend of woods including Hickory, Almond and Cherry. * BBQ means the perfect BBQ sauce - and we've got that covered. Our signature Beach Pit BBQ Sauce is so good, you'll want to lick your plate! * BBQ is an experience - and, for Beach Pit BBQ, that means a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious food and spend time with family and friends. "The meat is fall-off-the-bone tender and served on a soft white bun, just as they do down South. Only one complaint: ask for an extra side of barbecue sauce; the smoky and tangy sauce is that good." -The New York Times Still not sure what BBQ really means? Well, what are you waiting for?
