Greens Restaurant

Soft polenta with grilled portobello mushrooms, sauteed spring greens and shaved vella mezzo secco and butternut squash gratin. Now that sounds like music to the stomach! The Mediterranean musings at Greens are plentiful. Walk in and tuck into some delicious vegetarian fare as you take in the spectacular panorama of the sea. And when munching on your entrees, watch the boats bob to and fro! Keep in mind, the take-out window is open every day as well.

Sons & Daughters

Opened in 2010, Sons & Daughters is located in the neighborhood of Union Square by chefs Matt McNamara and Teague Moriarty. The restaurant specializes in seasonal, local contemporary New American cuisine. The changing prix fixe menu features dishes listed simply by ingredients like farm egg, malt, yeast, ground cherry or wild boar, Burgundy truffle, apple, hay. The dining area is clean and warm, featuring lots of polished wood furniture and black and white photos; the lack of overbearing fanciness ensures that you can be relaxed enough to fully enjoy every aspect of this Michelin-starred dining experience.

Prospect

San Francisco has a fair share of New American restaurants, and Prospect is a welcome addition to this scene, a venture by the same culinary team behind the famous Boulevard. Prospect is set in an urban environment that exudes a warm and casual ambiance, and gives a unique character to the venue making it intimate enough for romantic dinners and formal enough for business meals. The food is a fine showcase of luxury ingredients and the season's local produce, with impressive dishes like Maine Lobster & Potato Gnocchi, Prather Ranch Berkshire Pork, Kobe Bivette and Pumpkin Beignet featuring on the menu. Artisan cocktails and delightful wines can be ordered with the food or enjoyed at the lively bar area. Prospect certainly has raised the bar for other restaurants in the area with top-notch food and excellent service.
