Rosebud Coffee is Pasadena's only social enterprise cafe. We serve artisan and craft coffee while also training transitional aged youth as barista's. We have a large open space with indoor seating. We serve teas, lemonades, chai, and handmade chocolate. We also serve food such as pastries, paninis, breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos. Our coffee is third wave coffee that serves traditional sizes and features light to medium roast coffees. As a social enterprise, we are excited to work with local youth from around Pasadena and the LA area. We can also take out our coffee cart of events.
Maestro is an upscale Mexican-restaurant and mezcal-bar offering modern takes on Mexican cuisine with authentic flavors paired with a deep agave spirits list (more than 200 mezcal & tequila options). Chef-driven dishes range from fresh oysters and octopus to braised lamb shank or chilean sea bass with orange-morita glaze. The ambiance is stylish yet warm — think exposed brick, mosaic tile, a lively bar, and live mariachi on second Thursdays of the month.
We dedicate ourselves to the growth and betterment of the community. We've provided a Braille menu for our visually impaired customers for years. We care about the environment. Our president, Madelyn Alfano, is a member of the Sierra Club. We've practiced recycling since 1975 and use biodegradable cleaning agents. We do not use Styrofoam. And we make water available only upon request, greatly reducing the amount of water used. We care about your health. We now use only rice bran oil for frying. Rice Bran Oil eliminates trans fats, has no funny aftertaste, helps lower serum cholesterol and is a great source of Vitamin E and antioxidants which combat the effects of aging. We limit fats and salt in food preparation, and upon request, we offer many dishes without added salt. We also do not use MSG in any food preparation and we use butter instead of margarine. We are still family owned. We just wanted you to know, we will always be your neighborhood restaurant!
