Mooo Beacon Hill

Opened in 2007, Mooo is the brainchild of Jamie Mammano and Paul Roiff, the former is also its chef. Set in the luxurious XV Beacon Hotel, their menu is a twist on traditional steakhouse dishes. Their clientele includes corporate honchos, politicos and socialites. This upscale steakhouse also has a good selection of fish and seafood platter for those not into meat. From Kobe Dumplings, Broiled East Coast Oysters to Rib Eye Steak, Pepper Crusted Sirloin Au Poivre and Baked Stuffed Lobster, everything is wonderfully prepared and presented.

Archie's New York Deli

Tucked away on a small street in Downtown Crossing, Archie's New York Deli is a popular breakfast and lunch spot. Using no publicity gimmicks, its the word-of-mouth praise of their happy customers that has earned this diner a rock-solid reputation. Patrons swear by their sandwiches such as the Yahoo (a crowd favorite), Grilled New York Reuben, Early Bird and Chicken Salad Deluxe. You can also try their daily specials as they too are delicious and easy on the wallet. Along with an efficient and friendly staff, Archie's is definitely worth making a pit stop.

Aura Restaurant

Located near Logan International Airport, the Aura Restaurant and Bar in the Seaport Hotel offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is buffet style and lunch includes a variety of fine choices, but dinner is where chef John Merrill, graduate of the Culinary Institue of America, adds a personal twist to American fare. The fresh seafood at this Waterfront hotel is outstanding as are the chicken and beef entrees. Desserts are wonderful as well, whipped up by the restaurant's pastry chef. The restaurant is casually elegant and the staff is attentive.

Granary Tavern

Set in a 19th-century building, the Granary Tavern has a rustic look to it. This bi-level restaurant features two bars, an open kitchen, vintage granite blocks, exposed bricks and wooden beams. Their menu is based on slow food cooking principles and has only fresh ingredients in it. It mainly consists of charcuterie, shellfish, flatbreads and some reinterpreted classic New England dishes. Complement your meal with cocktails. It is a nice spot to drop in for late night hunger pangs as well.

Tasty Burger

Tasty Burger in the Back Bay Station is the fifth outpost of this local chain. Boasting of using only all-natural beef, this burger joint is known for their juicy burgers. A bustling place considering its location as well, this late night destination does not compromise with its quality. Dig into their burgers like Gorgonzola (crumbly bacon with melted blue cheese) and Rise 'N' Shine (all-natural bacon, cheese, ketchup and fried egg). You can also try their chicken sandwiches and beef dog which are equally noteworthy. Complement your meal with a canned beer, draft brew or wine.

Aquitaine Boston

Restaurateurs Seth and Sheri Woods bring a touch of France to South End in the form of this bistro-style restaurant. Decorated in warm shades of brown, Aquitaine boasts a top-notch wine list to accompany tantalizing menu selections, including cassoulet and a separate menu for each day of the week. Save room for dessert because the Banana Bread Pudding loaded with Caramel is a delicious treat that defies description.
