When she arrived in the United States, Elubia began selling food to relatives, friends, and then the public at the local soccer fields in Santa Barbara. Ruben Orozco grew up in Santa Barbara. He started working at his aunt's restaurant in Isla Vista (Lupita's Restaurant) when he was 11 years old until he graduated from UCSB.
