This longtime Chinatown restaurant is tremendously popular due to its reputation for excellent steamed dimsum. Despite being on two floors, it is constantly packed, especially on weekends and a long wait for a table is not unusual. However, patience will be rewarded. For the more adventurous, there are seafood dishes such as braised shark fin soup and for everyone else, the dim sum will do just fine.
Our entrees chef has over 25 years of experience. Weekend Brunch, excellent entrees, and one of a kind made to order hot Dim Sum. I promise it's worth the wait. And of course, the only place for a late night Dim Sum bite.
True, there are a lot of authentic Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. Dim Sum Go Go is just as Chinese and is maybe authentic fusion. The expertise of a Hong Kong chef and a French-American food critic ensures that the food is as close to the original and the quality and service is impeccable. It also means there's a good mix of the traditional and the contemporary, as well as vegetarian and vegan, which is not something one would expect at a Chinese restaurant. The edamame, sea fungus and shark are all on the menu and a dozen or two dumpling varieties. One more thing: it's all fresh Dim Sum, not the ones you pick out from the cart.
This is Mountain House Midtown Group-friendly destination for homey Sichuan dishes, many of which are made with chili's, and pots of tea.
Each country has its own way of making Chinese food. But if you're craving authentic Chinese cuisine with all those spices, peppercorns, and bold flavors, you must visit Ollie's Sichuan Restaurant in Hell's Kitchen. With the goal of delivering the flavour of Western China's Sichuan region to the heart of New York, this restaurant has not looked back since launching its first chain in the US more than 30 years ago. You may find meals with authentic Sichuan flavours here, including Mapo Tofu, shrimp, rice, noodles, chicken, and broccoli, in addition to standard fare like Mapo Tofu and homemade soup dumplings.
