Born from Joseph Sapp's childhood dream, Original Rainbow Cone was originally established in 1926 and continues to delight customers even today. The reasoning behind the original Rainbow Cone is quite simple – why have a single flavor when you can have five? Carefully balanced on a crispy cone, Chocolate, Strawberry, Palmer House, pistachio, and Orange sherbet ice creams intertwines, resulting in an exquisite blend of flavors. This delectable masterpiece captivates the palate, tantalizing taste buds with its perfectly balanced sweetness. Each creamy rainbow cone is assembled to order. Apart from the original Rainbow Cone, the shop also offers pints and quarts as takeaways, shakes, sundaes, and a variety of other ice cream flavors, including Bubble Gum, Butter Pecan, and Black Walnut. Catering services are offered as well for weddings and private parties.

In 1980, our founder Eli Schulman proclaimed cheesecake to be the signature dessert at his legendary restaurant, Eli's The Place for Steak. It was there that he invented Chicago-style cheesecake, known for its beautiful caramelization, creamy texture, and all-butter shortbread cookie crust. 45 years later, Eli’s son Marc and granddaughter, Elana, continue to spread joy through sharing delicious desserts. Alongside Eli’s original cheesecake, our pastry chefs create more than 30 different kinds of sweet treats, made with the best ingredients, like slow cultured cream cheese and sour cream and Neilson Massey Vanilla. We work to give back to the community that built us by following Eli Schulman's golden rules: “Charity will never bust you” and “Treat others as if you were the other”.
