Susan Woodard Knabb has always loved to bake. She is well known for her beautiful and delicious cakes and cookies. Whenever there is a celebration, Susan's sweets are always a much anticipated treat. In 1990, Susan started her baking career making wedding cakes (as Susan's Bridal Sweets) and through word-of-mouth grew a successful hobby into a business. She also made decorated cut-out cookies for weddings and other special events for a wide range of clients. In recent years Susan saw the growing trend of 'cupcakeries' and wanted to start one of the first in the eastern Cincinnati, OH area. In April of '09 she opened The Sweeterie in the beautiful Village of Mariemont., on the 2nd floor of The Strand in the heart of the village, right above the popular Dilly Deli restaurant.

Sweet Petit Desserts is a little dessert store with a big reputation. Starting out as a home-based enterprise, the business has expanded into a brick-and-mortar storefront. The owner, Taren Kinew is self-taught, and the baked good retain the same high quality of home-baked desserts in prettier packaging. The cake pops, push pops, pie pops and mini tartlets are very popular here. The store also features catering services and takes special orders for parties and events. Most of the mini desserts come in half-dozen or full-dozen boxes. There are a few tables at the shop for patrons who wish to dine in.
