Betty's
Located in a restored 19th-century house, this popular restaurant is noted for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. the breakfast menu features inviting selections like breakfast tacos and blueberry pancakes, and they also host Sunday brunches. For lunch, you may want to try a made-from-scratch chicken pot pie, or perhaps one of their exquisite vegetarian dishes. Some of these vegetarian delights include a spinach veggie burger, vegetarian burrito, and vegetarian "yumwich" sandwiches. Betty's is perfect for a leisurely meal.
Using custom built Texas smokers, this restaurant in the heart of Allentown boasts the most succulent barbecued meats in the city. Run by restaurateur par excellence Bob Mollot, the sports bar features pork, beef and poultry slow-cooked over low heat to produce that tell-tale red ring around the meat. It is a laid-back kind of place with pool tables, dartboards, and three TVs showing your favorite games. A daily happy-hour gets folks in the mood and the weekend live entertainment keeps them that way.
Tappo
Tappo features contemporary design and a vibrant, warm atmosphere. The restaurant's main attraction is the rooftop bar, perfect for pleasant weather offering lovely views of downtown Buffalo, especially the Niagara Mohawk building right next door. The menu features American Italian favorites like the Lasagne, Eggplant Parmesan, Panzanella Salad and Meatballs. Enjoy genuine smoked barbecue, including BW's signature smoked barbecue wings. Other choices include a chicken dinner, seasoned with special spices. Their rib dinner comes in either quarter, half or full rack. There is also a chicken and rib combo dinner. If you can't make up your mind, try the BBQ platter, which has a sampling of everything, including grilled chicken, ribs, pulled pork, and smoked beef brisket. Sandwiches include a BBQ Reuben, grilled chicken, and one called 38 special, made with smoked beef tenderloin, cheese, onion straws, and a chili dressing. Kostas Family Restaurant, as the name suggests, was opened by a greek family decades ago and is still run by them. The cozy Greek family atmosphere is evident right from the ambiance to the food that is served here. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner this place has an impressive menu. One can try traditional Greek cuisine like the Souvlaki or Gyro, even the homemade burgers are quite popular. The southwestern omelet is absolutely delicious and not to mention the delectable traditional Greek dessert—Baklava.
A 1950's style vintage diner located in the North Park locality of Buffalo, Bertha's Diner is a favorite among localities and tourists alike. The lunch menu includes Rattle and Roll (cheeseburger, fries and milkshake combo), Elvis (just a cheeseburger) and Buddy Holly (deep-fried chicken fingers on a Kaiser roll).
