The food is traditional, yet innovative and you'll find a lot of home-style family recipes and warm, southern hospitality. They have won several Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation Awards over the years. Happy to share their wares with everyone, they have a biscuit mix available for the Classic Buttermilk Biscuits and they also ship their delicious creations to you anywhere across the United States. Their menu has over 20 types of biscuits including Classic Biscuits, Filled Little Biscuits, Biscuit Sandwiches and an offer of three biscuits for a fixed price. They also have a baker's dozen which is an assortment of biscuits. Some of the regulars' favorites are the Country Ham with Homemade Blackberry Jam, Shortcake and Cheese and Chive Minis. Eli's Table

Eli's Table brings bold, worldly flavors to Meeting Street in downtown Charleston. Start with Whipped Feta and Ricotta with fermented honey and toasted pistachios, the Crispy Duck and Cornbread Waffle with orange hot honey, or Grilled Lamb Lollipops with herb salsa verde. For the main course, try our peppercorn-crusted Filet au Poivre with roasted wild mushrooms, or the Short Rib Pappardelle with red wine demi-glace and whipped ricotta. Dinner starts at 5 PM, Wednesday through Sunday. Ask for a table on our cozy patio out back, a relaxed spot to settle in with a cocktail and stay a while.

Coast Bar & Grill

Deviously hidden in a brick-lined, brick-walled alleyway behind a French bistro, Coast Bar and Grill is one of the freshest seafood options in downtown Charleston. Since 2002 this eatery has showcased the best of the local catch to hungry locals. One of the distinguishing factors of Coast's operation is the custom-made hickory and oak wood fired grill, sizzling away with the catch of the day which is served with plentiful sides. If you're seeking the perfect accompaniment to your selection, the wines at Coast have been specifically paired with their dishes, creating a harmonious balance from glass to plate. The prices can be a bit high due to the just-caught nature of the restaurant's fare, but this doesn't keep locals from making frequent visits to this hard-to-find location.

The Glass Onion

Abuzz with convivial patrons that add to the restaurant's charming vibe, the Glass Onion is an ideal spot to enjoy a relaxed meal at any time. Specializing in Southern cuisine, the menu of the restaurant includes adored American specialties. With a range of beverages and desserts, the restaurant is a must visit.

Edmund's Original

This brewpub has been named Edmund's Oast after Edmund Egan, one of the pioneers of brewing operations in Charleston. Oast refers to a type of kiln in which hops are dried. At this beer haven, customers can sample in-house brews as well as globe-spanning draft beers. Sip beers like Foothills Jade IPA with melon and citrus flavors, De Molen Hel and Verdoemenis from Netherlands and the Swiss Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chie infused with flavors of oak, balsamic and tart cherry. Pair light snacks like Smoked Bar Nuts with cocktails such as The Red Wedding with hibiscus extracts. This bar frequently hosts events for connoisseurs like Beer Week and Beer School; check the website for the detailed schedule.
