Barry Woods Johnston sculptures are acclaimed for their vitality and vision, as well as their elegance and masterful rendering. Few American sculptors have been honored by their peers with so many awards. As you view these works, enjoy the unmistakable quality and narrative richness which defines art of enduring value. Johnston's series of Shakespearean characters, his etchings of the Book of Job, and other art expressions reveal a personal faith and show an intensity for life that inspires concern for vital issues in our society. Many sculptural themes are about family. Although Johnston's sculptures are realistic, they are relevant and compositional modern.
