Located in an historic Victorian building in the Elmwood district, this Buffalo gallery has been catering to the needs of the city's art-loving public for more than 30 years. With three floors, the gallery accommodates well-known international artists such as Erte and lesser-known locals hoping to make a name for themselves. And it's all in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. If you've worked up an appetite, try the nearby Ambrosia, Sweet Tooth, or India Gate.
Great local art and more Buffalo Photographs than anyone in the City
Located close to historic Allentown, this non-profit gallery has presented regional artists for more than 15 years and gets their work out to the general public. Run by master framer and art aficionado Donald Siuta, the gallery holds 10 exhibits a year as well as a Thursday night Words and Music Concert Series, and art workshops for those just starting out. Opening receptions are held on Friday evenings.
Originally a windshield wiper factory, this gallery provides space for local artists to practice their craft. There's also an art gallery that features exhibitions from local and regional artists, both those just starting out and mid-careerists, in its 3,000 square-foot space. The studio also offers workshops for both adults and children in everything from photography to pottery. You'll find it relatively close to Delaware Park in the Tri-Main Center.
