Amarillo Martial Arts is a small no-frills dojo offering a comprehensive curriculum in authentic Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate. Instruction is offered Monday through Thursday evenings to juniors ages 10 through 14 at 6:00 pm, and adults at 7:00 pm. Training is filled with exercises that produce health, fitness, and practical self-defense. Lee Gray, the senior instructor, has over 60 years of experience training and teaching Goju Ryu Karate. As a career United States Marine, he taught hand-to-hand and close quarters combat to Marines and after retiring taught defensive tactics for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He is affiliated with and recognized by the Okinawa Karate-do Goju Ryu Shobukan headquarters in Okinawa City Okinawa Japan, the Okinawa Goju Ryu Goju Kai in Naha City Okinawa Japan, and the Okinawa Karate Kaikan in Naha City Okinawa Japan. Training at Amarillo Martial Arts is conducted year around and beginners are accepted at any time. There are NO CONTRACTS required to become a member and enrollment is quick and easy.
