Come visit our new Berkeley location for some delicious tacos and sandwiches
Ashby Eatery is a standout brunch spot, especially for its $5 mimosas and excellent banana bread French toast!
This corner restaurant is stark and simple, but with the greetings all accompanied with a smile, you will feel right at home. You can order prepared dishes and combination plates at the small buffet up front, and either sit down or take it to go. Depending on how many items you have (that change daily) you can fill up on the assortment of fried rolls, noodle and vegetable dishes, buttery fried rice with pork, or whatever else is set out that day. The beef dishes, such as Oyster Beef, are also particularly good. House beer and wine are available by the glass. Sit-down service is also available.
Grégoire
The streets of Berkeley's North Side are lined with some of the best hole-in-the-wall eateries the Bay Area has to offer. Gregoire, in particular, is where you'll taste the finest French style takeout. Their menu changes monthly and with each menu, you can taste amazing, organically made sandwiches like leg of lamb, smoked salmon in traditional blinis, smoked duck, and so much more. The potato puffs alone are worth coming to Gregoire for.
We serve Brazilian-inspired small plates with a smile. Want a snack? Try our delicious Pao de Queijo bites filled with Guava. Looking for something more substantial? Try our Bossa Nova bowl. In a hurry? Grab two of our empanadas to-go, and don't forget the cilantro sauce! We are a woman and LGBTQ-owned business inside of Berkeley Organic Market in the Elmwood district. We offer catering services and host monthly onsite social events.
