Having recently moved to escape New York’s fast paced lifestyle and start our next chapter with daughter Abbie we decided on Charlotte, N.C. After settling in we realized the many things that we missed from NY and our search began for the “Arthur Avenue”, Bronx, NY of Charlotte. After coming up short time and time again the idea of opening up an Italian deli/market became a real thought. Fast forward and welcome to Nonna Maria’s Italian Deli & Market, named after my late mother, Nonna Maria’s is a little bit of Italy in Charlotte, showcasing true authentic Italian food and goods from where we my family is from Colle Sannita & Rieno, a commune in the Province of Benevento in the Italian region Campania, northeast of Naples and about 25 kilometers north of Benevento and where I spent every summer growing up with my family. We are very excited to share with you the Italian heritage that I have had the profound privilege to grow up with and still live by everyday.
