United Tae Kwon Do is one of America's longest continuously running martial arts schools since 1974! We're conveniently located at 669A Burnside Avenue in East Hartford, CT. Our school offers elite Taekwondo training for Adults and Children ages 5 and up. Our style is Traditonal Taekwondo, meaning we use our feet and hands as tools to strengthen our brains, combining mind, body, and spirit. We are a personalized, no non-sense, supportive community. We follow the teaching of our founder, 10th degree Black Belt Grandmaster Moo Yong Lee. We are not a flashy, macho, or competitive school. We focus on developing each person's unique potential.
We have a staff of diversified instructors and offer martial arts instruction in Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga, Kung-Fu, Karate, Aikido, Jujutsu, Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts / MMA, Capoeira, Kali/Silat, Kettlebell Training, and soft style arts... all under one roof. We are open six days throughout the week. Our facility has two floors which includes: several thousand square feet of mats, an MMA cage, a boxing ring, a full fitness center (with cardio equipment, machines, and free weights), showers, a full complement of training equipment, a wi-fi lounge, and 17 staff members...
Gracie Jiu Jitsu
Jitae specializes in martial arts training in a safe and fun environment but at the same time pushing students to their maximum potential. Paul Millholen the head instructor is great at meeting individuals needs and accommodates students of all levels. Mr. Millholen has taught classes for 3 year olds, to self defense seminars for local high schools and even taught poomsae and mindful movement seminar for senior citizens. Students of all ages levels are welcome only requirement is a willing to learn. Curriculum is a balance between WTF poomase(forms), Olympic style sparring, Self defense (Junsado) and a great workout. Now Mr. Paul is an official black belt and instructor of the legendary Bill "Superfoot" Wallace fighting system. Mr. Wallace was undefeated Karate and kickboxing champion for 23 years.
