We teach small classes in a large building! We have been in Raleigh since 1974. Ask your neighbors if they know us? We teach an age specific curriculum in different classes. Children enjoy the many different classes of fun to choose from, families love us, adults come in to the adult only atmosphere in the evenings and let go of all their stress. If you are looking for a martial arts program that runs deep with experience, continuing education for the instructors and compassion, then we are the place. We treat every person as an individual. Our instructors are adults, certified in Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Iaido and Kendo (Japanese sword fighting). All White Tiger Taekwondo Black Belts are certified through the Kukkiwon in South Korea. This is the governing body for Olympic Style Taekwondo. All White Tiger Hapkido Black Belts are certified through the Korean Hapkido Federation in South Korea. Certification from White Tiger is the highest level recognized and is transferable around the world. We are the friendliest Martial Arts school in town! Instructors and staff are background checked prior to hiring. White Tiger takes our responsibility of being positive role models for our students very seriously. Our standards and expectations are very high for employees - our students’ safety and well-being is our number one priority. Many applicants that did not meet these standards can be found teaching for other local schools. White Tiger staff never stops learning! All employees are receiving continuing education and skill training. Every new student is offered the chance to participate in a trial class. We have no contracts and unlimited training. We are a simple, effective self defense system that emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques, and realistic training scenarios.Krav Maga is the official self defense system of the Israeli Defense Forces, and has been taught to hundreds of law enforcement agencies and thousands of civilians in the United States. It is renowned for being easy to learn and implement, and for producing maximum results in minimum time, teaching defenses against empty hand attacks, rape scenarios, knives, guns, and every other threat. A typical class begins with a dynamic warm-up, then moves into striking techniques that lead into a self-defense scenario such as being choked, attacked on the ground, or threatened with a weapon. Stress drills focusing on performing the techniques under pressure are interspersed throughout the class. Our program is exhilarating, intense, and very satisfying!
