Our martial arts after-school care program and summer camp is a great alternative for childcare. We pick up from most west end public and private schools in Henrico County. We use karate, judo, jiu-jitsu,, aikido and others. Our motto is if it works, we use it. In keeping in step with our family like atmosphere approach, we are proud to have a 1:8 teacher to student ratio. As a result, our activities are highly structured, systematic, and organized to meet the needs of all students. There is not much time for "free play." Our after school program starts from 2:10 - 6:00 Monday - Friday. We teach our students self control, discipline, and respect. It is our goal that your child will transfer the skills mastered in our after school program to home and within the community. At the Academy of Kung Fu we teach traditional Martial Arts based on the Ving Tsun system. This is a 300+ year old system that was used by Ip Man, Bruce Lee and Moy Yat and focuses on real life self defense. We teach adult, children, private and group lessons.
