Week 3 has concluded for Southeastern Conference teams. Tennessee hosted college football's featured game in Week 3.
No. 3 Georgia (3-0, 1-0 SEC) defeated No. 15 Tennessee (2-1, 0-1 SEC), 44-41 in overtime, on Saturday at Neyland Stadium. The Vols and Bulldogs combined for 998 total yards and 85 points.
"Man, soak this baby in tonight, let it hurt," Tennessee coach Josh Heupel said. "Same thing tomorrow. For the coaches, we learn lessons, move forward early tomorrow and when the players come back in on Monday.
"Whether you win or lose, it's about how you get better. We will take lessons from this one and use the disappointment to propel us to have even greater focus and urgency. We've got a chance to be a beautiful football team and continue to be better. That's what we have to do to be the team we're capable of."
Following Week 3 games, Vols Wire provides SEC football power rankings below. Tennessee is ranked No. 4.
