Tonight's game is extra special for Capitals forward Pierre-Luc Dubois . The 27-year-old will be skating in his 600th career NHL contest.
This will be the first of back-to-back games for Washington against New York teams. Tomorrow night, the Caps will head from Long Island to Manhattan to face the Rangers.
Washington will also be facing Islanders defenseman Matthew Schafer, who went No. 1 overall in this year's NHL Draft. Schafter, 18, became the youngest defenseman to record a point in his NHL debut on Wednesday night. He assisted on Jonathan Drouin 's goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins .
