MIAMI — The Cavaliers can go for the sweep and an early trip to the second round.
The Cavs took care of business in Game 3 , crushing the Miami Heat to take a 3-0 series lead. Cleveland now has a chance to end the series Monday night, April 28, in Miami, which would give them a few extra days off before a second-round matchup between the winner of the series between the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks .
Here is how Beacon Journal writers Ryan Lewis and Nate Ulrich see Game 4 unfolding.
Cavaliers - Heat Game 4 predictions in first round of NBA playoffs
Lewis:Game 3 can only be described as a complete dismantling of the Heat, and it was game Miami absolutely needed to win. The Heat likely won't just fade into the sunset, but the first three games have shown the difference in offensive prowess is too great. The Cavs barely needed anything from Donovan Mitchell , and they didn't have Darius Garland at all, and it was still a shellacking. While I don't think a beatdown like that happens again, I do think the Cavs pull off the sweep. Cavaliers 114, Heat 109.
Ulrich: The Cavs showed guts by blowing out the Heat 124-87 in Game 3 as the best-of-seven series moved to Miami for the first time. Cleveland dominated despite All-Star point guard Darius Garland sitting out with a sprained toe. Although picking the Cavs to win the first-round series in five games was the original prediction here, adjustments must be made based on new information. It's time to shift gears and go with a sweep. Cavaliers 122, Heat 116
