- Evening kickoff window confirmed for Missouri football vs. South Carolina in Week 4
Mizzou's SEC slate will begin under the lights.
And in front of a national TV audience.
No. 25/RV Missouri football's game against South Carolina in Week 4, which will take place Sept. 20 and is still a gameweek away, has been designated for either a 6 or 6:30 p.m. kickoff time and it will air on either ESPN or ABC.
The game had previously been designated for either an afternoon or evening kickoff window. It is now confirmed as the second evening kickoff of Mizzou's young season, following its season-opener against Central Arkansas on Thursday, Aug. 28.
An exact time and TV designation will be announced after the Week 3 slate of games. Mizzou-South Carolina and Miami-Florida are the games
First, the Tigers have a game to play against Louisiana in Week 3. Mizzou will kick off against the Ragin' Cajuns at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, in Columbia.
But, the news for the kickoff window and TV slot keeps the possibility open that the Tigers and Columbia could host College GameDay in Week 4.
Other potential options for the traveling college football pregame talk show will be No. 5 Miami vs. Florida; No. 17 Ole Miss vs.Tulane; No. 22 Indiana vs. No. 9 Illinois; No. 20 Utah vs. No. 21 Texas Tech; No. 4 Oregon vs. Oregon State; or Nebraska vs. No. 23 Michigan.
Mizzou is 2-0 with a 42-31 win over Kansas in the first Border War in 14 years. The Tigers were the first team ranked outside of the US LBM Coaches Poll in Sunday's updated rankings, but they did return to the AP Top 25 as the No. 25-ranked squad this week.

South Carolina also has opened its new season with two wins, beating Virginia Tech in Week 1 before a buy-game victory over South Carolina State this past Saturday.
As it stands, the game could have College Football Playoff implications.
Before facing Mizzou, South Carolina hosts Vanderbilt in Columbia, South Carolina, this upcoming Saturday.
If both Mizzou and South Carolina win their Week 3 games, there will be a top-25 matchup in Columbia — the second straight between the two teams, after a dramatic ranked contest at Williams-Bryce Stadium in 2024.
The Week 4 contest has not yet been announced as a sellout, but there does appear to be limited tickets remaining. Tickets are only available in four sections, all at the 300-level, through the Mizzou website as of Monday afternoon.
It is likely to be announced as a sellout soon. All three of MU's season-opening games, including this upcoming Saturday's contest against Louisiana, have sold out.
All game times listed in CDT. Unless otherwise noted, all games will be played on Saturday.
