The 2025 Dallas Mavericks have gotten off to a rough start. They are 3-9 to start the year, and Anthony Davis is injured, in addition to Kyrie Irving already being out. Cooper Flagg has been solid to start the year, but he has spent time at point guard, which is not his natural position. To top it all off, the Mavericks fired general manager Nico Harrison after the season began.
ESPN NBA and Dallas Mavericks reporter Tim McMahon reported on what happened between Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks and told Dan Patrick on Thursday's episode of "The Dan Patrick Show." When Cuban sold his majority stake in the Mavericks, McMahon said that he had lied and continued to claim that he was running basketball operations , despite having no input on the Mavericks' roster. Instead, all of the decision-making goes through Patrick Dumont, the new Mavericks governor.
