The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Travis Hunter with the second-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after trading up with the Cleveland Browns .
Jacksonville will send its fifth-overall pick, second-round pick (No. 36), fourth-round pick (No. 126) and its 2026 first-round pick to the Browns to select Hunter. The Jaguars acquired a fourth-round pick and a sixth-round pick (No. 200) in addition to the second-overall pick.
The Jaguars came into this week's draft with optimism of landing an elite prospect, and they executed their plan after targeting the two-way player from Colorado.
Jacksonville entered this year's draft with plenty of change shortly after the season, ushering in new leadership led by executive vice president of football operations Tony Boselli , head coach Liam Coen and general manager James Gladstone .

The team's coaching staff was essentially torn down to the studs and rebuilt according to Coen's vision.
Jacksonville entered NFL Draft week with 10 selections. Gladstone remarked multiple times during the pre-draft process that he was excited for the event, given the abundance of picks the franchise had, including two selections in the third and fourth rounds, respectively and multiple picks in later rounds.

"That's my experience most recently with the Los Angeles Rams and that's something I feel I have a unique capacity to take on with the current position that we hold, which is 10 picks this year, 11 picks next year," Gladstone said in March when asked about building the roster through the NFL Draft.
"So, with pro-free agency, we wanted to set ourselves up so that we feel like we have the flexibility to address any position we want to at any pick point that lies on the horizon and it feels like we're currently in a position to do just that."
Both Gladstone and Coen also remarked throughout the pre-draft process that protecting quarterback Trevor Lawrence and taking some heat off the franchise QB is a priority.
"I'm really excited for Liam to get a chance to work with him, support him and really bring the tools that he has in his arsenal to life. I think it starts by the protection, right? Making sure that he feels like he's got as much time to work with as possible and also that he's comfortable with the pass catchers," Gladstone said in February at the NFL Scouting Combine.
"So, I think through that lens, he's going to feel that change in both the operation schematically and then the personnel that we invite into the building."

How Travis Hunter fits with the Jaguars
Hunter will likely play on both sides of the ball at the next level, but specialize in one.
