It was a shame that Travis Hunter's biggest game and biggest play as a Jacksonville Jaguars rookie had to come in a loss.
No no one knew that better than he did.
"I ain't worried about the stats," he said after catching a career-high eight passes for a career-high 101 yards and his first NFL touchdown in a 35-7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams at Wembley Stadium in London on Oct. 19. "We got to do better on the football field. We got to come out and we just got to win. That's what I'm most focused on, just doing my job and having the other guys do their job, and we come out on top."
But Hunter did let a clue slip that he might have been impatient with his offensive role so far this season.
"I told coach [ Liam Coen ] to get me the ball, I'll go out there and make a play," Hunter said. "He got me the ball, and I did what I had to do."
