The Jacksonville Jaguars had two picks in the same round for the third time on Day three of the NFL Draft.
With the first of their two selections in the seventh round, the Jaguars took USC center Jonah Monheim (6 feet 5, 310 pounds), who was third-team All-Big Ten. He is the second interior offensive lineman drafted. West Virginia guard Wyatt Milum was taken in the third round on April 25.
Monheim is a versatile player who has also appeared at guard and tackle in college. Prior to making 12 starts at center in 2024, he started 29 games at right tackle, four at right guard and one at left tackle.
Monheim is the seventh-ranked center by draft guru Dane Brugler, who gave him high marks for his foot quickness.
Monheim has a business degree from USC and was on the Pac-12 honor roll three times. He is pursuing a major in Gerontology, a multidisciplinary study of the aging process and its effects on individuals and society.
The Jaguars are scheduled to make the 236th selection later in the seventh round.
The Jaguars previously had two selections in the fourth round and selected running back Bhayshul Tuten of Virginia Tech and linebacker Jack Kiser of Notre Dame.
They had two in the sixth round and took linebacker Jalen McLeod of Auburn and safety Rayuan Lane III of Navy.
The Jaguars had no picks in the fifth round.
