"Our guys were locked in the last three days," Akron coach John Groce said. "I thought we played like we practiced, in particular the last two practices. I have got a great [coaching] staff and support staff who help prepare the guys. The guys bought in to what we needed to get done today. I thought the thing that stood out was our defensive impact consistently over the course of 40 minutes."
