NFL makes 'SNF' flex decision for Broncos-Commanders game

The Denver Broncos will play in a national spotlight coming out of their bye week.

The Washington Commanders have been scheduled to host the Broncos on Sunday Night Football in Week 13 on Nov. 30, and the NFL has opted not to flex it out of primetime, according to The Athletic 's Nicki Jhabvala .

The Commanders (3-8) are all struggling to stay in the NFC's playoff hunt, but there's at least a chance that quarterback Jayden Daniels might be able to return from an elbow injury in time for SNF . And even if Daniels does not return in time for that game, Denver will be 9-2, defending the longest active winning streak in the NFL (eight).

The Broncos are currently the AFC's No. 1 playoff seed going into their bye, and they have a commanding lead in the AFC West following Sunday's win over the Kansas City Chiefs . The SNF matchup will mark Denver's fourth nationally televised game of the season. The Broncos are also scheduled to travel to KC for a special Christmas Day edition of Thursday Night Football in Week 17.
