The Carolina Panthers are cleaning up before the start of the legal tampering period on Monday.
According to Joe Person of The Athletic , the Panthers have reached a new two-year deal with tight end Tommy Tremble . The 24-year-old, without the agreement, would have become a free agent at the start of the new league year.
Tremble was selected by the Panthers in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft. In the four years since, the University of Notre Dame product has amassed 85 catches, 782 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns over 61 games.
This past season saw Tremble record career-highs in receptions (32), receiving yards (234), yards per reception (10.2) and first downs (12). His 38-yard reception in the team's Week 13 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers also accounted for a new career-high.
In addition to the news of Tremble's pact, the Panthers also landed on a one-year deal for center Austin Corbett just a few hours earlier.
